Thailand to miss Junior Asia Cup

KARACHI, June 21: Thailand has pulled out of the sixth Men’s Junior Asia hockey cup scheduled to be held in Hyderabad, India, from July 8 to 18, a spokesman of the Pakistan Hockey Federation announced on Saturday.

Sri Lanka has already withdrawn from the competition which reduces the number of participants from ten to eight.

Top six teams of the competition will qualify for the ninth Junior World Cup to be held jointly in Malaysia and Singapore.—APP
