KARACHI, June 16: Baqai Dolphins and Al-Noor Gymkhana qualified for the KCCA Inter-club Cricket Championship quarter-finals after beating their respective opponents here on Sunday.

In the first match played at the Airport Stadium, Baqai Dolphins’ Afaq Ahmed captured three wickets for five as Malir Gymkhana, batting first, were dismissed for 144 in 24.5 overs. In response, Dolphins reached the target in 26.4 overs for the loss of only two wickets. Tariq Rasheed made 60 and Ali Mehar cracked an unbeaten 53.

In the other match held at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground, Mohammad Adeel grabbed three wickets for nine in Al-Noor Gymkhana’s 47-run win over Malir Companion Cricket Club.
