ATTOCK, June 14: Police on Saturday claimed to have seized 3240 bags of wheat and wheat flour from eight trucks in separate attempts. They were being smuggled to Afghanistan through Attock.

Police said that 360 bags of wheat of 98kg each were recovered during the checking of two trucks near Burhan Interchange.

Similarly 2,000 bags of atta were recovered from the checking of two trucks at Mullah Mansoor check post on main GT road in the jurisdiction of Attock Khurd Police station.

While in another attempt, 780 bags of atta and wheat were recovered from the checking of four trucks at the same check post.

All eight accused truck drivers were arrested by the police.
