Two shot dead in Darel valley

GILGIT, June 14: Two persons were shot dead in different incidents in Darel valley, some 70 km off Chilas on Saturday, police said. The police said unidentified people opened indiscriminate fire on Gul Mohamamd in the wee hours in Samaigal village killing him on the spot.

In retaliation, the brothers of the deceased accused Zakiruallah of killing Gul Mohammad and shot him dead. He also died on the spot.

The police said separate cases had been registered but no arrest had been made as police were conducting raids to apprehend the culprits.—A Correspondent
