KARACHI, June 13: National Cricket Academy (NCA) coach Shahid Aslam on Friday conducted a specialised fielding sessions with the boys attending an 11-week Karachi Regional Academy of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) here.

Shahid, who is a qualified Level-III coach from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), conducted special fielding training sessions with around 30 boys attending the programme.

He delivered lectures on modern techniques of fielding and the latest developments in this regard.

Shahid has specially come from Lahore to see the progress of the boys at the regional academy.

“The basic objective of Shahid’s visit here is to lift the declining fielding standard at the lower level,” former Test paceman Jalaluddin, supervising the training as head coach at the Karachi Regional Academy, said.

He further said that players are in the third week of the regional academy programme and showing progress in batting, bowling, fielding, physical training and other related areas of the game.—APP
