QUETTA, June 13: Ghulam Haider Raisani, a Pakistani national accused of being involved in terrorist activities in Iran, is likely to be handed over to Iranian authorities on Saturday.

The Iranian government reportedly demanded extradition of Haider Raisani.

Iran says he has links with Irani extremist organisation Jindullah and was involved in its terrorist activities.

According to sources, Haider Raisani has been shifted from Quetta to Islamabad where he will be handed over to Iranian authorities.

Haider Raisani was arrested by Pakistani security forces a few months ago on terrorism charges, but he was acquitted by an anti-terrorism court.

Nationalist parties and organisations in Balochistan have been protesting for two months against his possible extradition.

Haider Raisani’s mother has threatened to burn herself to death if he is handed over to Iran.
