Five killed as rivals clash

KASUR, June 11: Five men lost their lives in an armed clash between the two rival groups near Sattoki Rao Khanwala drain on Wednesday.

Reports said that Munir Bhatti along with his gunmen was heading towards the Sattoki village. Near the drain, the men of the Rafique group opened fired on them, killing Farmaish, Chhaman, Sanaullah and the driver on the spot and seriously injuring Bhatti and his other men. The Bhatti group also returned the fire and killed one of the assailants.

The police are looking into the matter.

It is learnt that 11 people of the two groups had lost their lives during the last two months.
