SIALKOT, June 11: Four people, including two brothers, drowned as their speeding car plunged into the BRB Canal near Daska here on Wednesday.

Reports said four youths - Hafiz Imran, Maqsood Ahmad, two brothers Muhammad Shakeel and Muhammad Arif -- were on their way to Malhiyaanwala village by a rented car. The vehicle plunged into the BRB Canal near Daska while negotiating a turn. All the four people were drowned. Bodies are yet to be recovered. However, divers recovered the car.

MPA Yahya Gul Nawaz Advocate and Traffic DSP Naseem Chaudhry reached the spot and monitored the search operation.
