MUZAFFARGARH, June 7: So far 200 lawyers, besides traders, political activists and members of public have got registered their names for participation in long march which will start from Multan on June 11. Talking to Dawn on Saturday, district bar association president Zubaidulsalam Shirwani, who is also a member of Punjab Executive Committee of People’s Lawyers Forum and district secretary general of the PPP, said people from all walks of life wanted to participate in the long march. He said though he belonged to the PPP, but being a lawyer he was a staunch supporter of the movement for restoration of judges.

DBA general secretary Iftikhar Qureshi said office-bearers of local Anjuman-i-Tajran (traders’ union) and Jamat-i-Islami had also contacted the lawyers, expressing their desire to join the long march. He said common people were also contacting him, because they were interested in attending the long march.
