NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, May 31: About 29 people, including 13 women, were injured in a clash over irrigation water in Dhani Bux Ghanghro village near Kandiaro on Saturday.

Reports said that Sohrab, Rasool Bux and Abdul Hameed Ghanghro were disputing over whose turn it was to use irrigation water for lands.

Hearing the cries, women of the both sides from nearby houses rushed to their men for help and jumped into the clash, leading to injuries to 29 people.

The injured, Sehat Khatoon, Ms Wasandi, Qaim Khatoon, Hasina, Izzat Khatoon, Bashiran, Dadli, Naziran, Wakilan, Ms Mumtaz, Azeema, Pathani, Sohrab, Rasool Bux, Abdul Hameed and others were admitted to Kandiaro taluka hospital.No FIR had been registered till the filing of this report.

WHEAT: The district food controller with the help of Rangers personnel recovered 400 wheat bags from two trucks on Naushahro Feroze bypass on Saturday.

The trucks were going to Karachi from Kandiaro and the bill of wheat had been paid through challan.
