HYDERABAD, May 23: Bank employees have demanded 50 per cent rise in salaries because of the every-day price increase.

The All Sindh Banks Employees Association demanded this in a meeting held on Thursday on plea that persistent inflation had made it difficult for them to make both ends meet. The meeting was presided over by Zaheer Leghari.

It observed that the spiralling effects of hike had created untenable situation for employees of all schedule banks and of State Bank of Pakistan, as well because no dearness allowance was announced for them.
