LAHORE, May 20: The International Cricket Council’s (ICC) security team visited four proposed venues of the ICC Champions Trophy in Lahore on Tuesday.

The Champions Trophy is scheduled to be staged in Pakistan from Sept 11.

In Lahore, the four-member security team visited Aitchison College, Bagh-i-Jinnah and Lahore Country Club, Muridke — all three practice venues, besides the Gaddafi Stadium.

Secretary Interior Nadeem Hasan Asif briefed the ICC officials over the security arrangements planned for the mega event.

The delegation, consisting of two ICC officials and two security consultants, arrived in Karachi on Sunday.

On Wednesday, the ICC team will go to Rawalpindi for the inspection of the grounds there.
