NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, May 20: A demonstration demanding opening of the boys’ primary school in Koro Khan Madd village was held in Kandiaro, on Tuesday.

Residents of the village complained that the Government Boys Primary School functioning since 20 years was lying closed for last five months. They said there were two teachers, one from the Education Department and the other of the NCHD but the latter removed its teacher several months ago.

They complained the government teacher of not attending school as such it lay closed. They said the SDO Education and Executive District Officer kept them on false hopes.

The SDO schools said a month back that the teacher had tendered an apology for remaining absent and was demanding salary with the promise to attend school regularly but none turned up, they added.

They demanded of the education minister Sindh to take notice and resolve the problem of students.

PROBE URGED: Naushahro Feroze Union Council Naib Nazim Dr Abdul Qadeer Memon has demanded an inquiry into the funds and minutes of meetings of Naushahro Feroze Taluka Council.

Dr Memon told reporters on Tuesday that record corruption was allegedly committed in the utilization of Taluka Council funds.
