HYDERABAD, May 15: A group of small growers whose lands lie at the tail-end of Chakar Shakh complained on Thursday that their crops were withering for want of water they had not received for last three months, and appealed to Asif Ali Zardari, irrigation minister and secretary to release water to their area.
Haji Abdullah Dasti, Sardar Ali Shah, Ghulam Murtaza Rind and Gulzar Mughal said at a news conference at the press club that they had approached the concerned XEN and SDO as well as the members of legislative assemblies, but nobody helped solve their problem.
They said that the standing wheat and chillies crops had completely destroyed.
