ISLAMABAD, May 11: Pakistan on Sunday dispatched to Myanmar two C-130 aircraft carrying tents, plastic sheets, mosquito nets, medicines and water purification tablets for cyclone-hit people of the country.
Additional secretary of the cabinet division Atta Mohammad Raja said the people of Pakistan were deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the cyclone and loss of thousands of lives.
He said that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani had ordered the dispatch of relief goods.
He said that Pakistan was ready to set up a fully equipped mobile hospital for the cyclone-affected people.Myanmar Ambassador Tin Oo thanked the government and the people of Pakistan for their help.—APP
