SUKKUR: AIOU exams from 15th

SUKKUR, May 7: The assistant regional director of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Regional Centre of Sukkur, has announced that annual examination of PTC, CT, ATTC, and B.Ed will be held on May 15.

According to an official handout issued here on Wednesday, Roll No. slips to students had been dispatched and those who did not received the slips on or before May 10 should contact the Students Counsellor at the Regional Centre on phone No. 071-5631542.

The examination of postgraduate programmes would start from June 1, 2008, the announcement added.

WATER ROTATION: Executive Engineer of Nasrat Division, Nawabshah, has announced rotation programme of various water channels in the division due to shortage of water in the Indus River and Rohri main canal.According to a press release issued on Wednesday, Group-I channels of Dour Sub-Division, Nawabshah, Sub-Division-I and II already under rotation programme will be closed on May 8, 2008.

Similarly, Group-II channels of Padidan Sub-Division-I, Nawabshah Sub-Division-II and Shahpur Sub-Division viz. Delivery Outlets (D.Os) of Nasrat Branch from RD-0 to 137-6, Jalbani Minor, Sangi Link Channel, Drakhi Minor, Cheeho Minor, Tetri Minor, Chanari Distributary, Sher Khan Minor, Kot Lalu Minor, Dhoji Distributary, Suhelo Minor, Bhit Maru Distributary, Dewanabad Minor and others minor canals will remain closed from May 8 to May 16.
