DADU, May 5: The taluka nazim of Johi was removed through a vote of no-confidence tabled against him here on Monday.

Nazim Imdad Ali Shah, who had enjoyed support of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q, was replaced by the Pakistan People’s Party-backed Awam Dost Penal candidate and naib nazim of Phulji union council Rafiq Jamali.

At least 11 out of 14 members expressed their lack of trust against Imdad Ali Shah after tabling a no-confidence motion against him by Awam Dost Panel.

Speaking on the occasion, the newly-elected taluka nazim Rafiq Jamali said that soon uplift works would be undertaken in every UC of the taluka without any discrimination. The basic problems, including health and cleanliness and water and drainage would be solved on war footing basis.—PPI
