LAHORE, May 4: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has hailed the announcement of judges restoration on May 12.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, chamber president Muhammad Ali Mian said the restoration of judges would give a boost to the economy because confusion over the issue was affecting the business activities as the potential investors were not sure about the outcome.

He said Pakistan required political stability for focussed attention of the federal and provincial governments for resolution of issues of power shortage, low agricultural yield, inflation, trade deficit and high markup rates for survival in the highly competitive globalised world.

It was the duty of the present regime to evolve a strategy for resolving the issues in consultation with the private sector.
