MIRPURKHAS, May 3: The Satellite Town police arrested eight men among whom two were narcotics dealers, two electricity wire thieves, and four robbers and recovered narcotics, electricity wires, arms and sharp instruments for wire cutting.

Supervising Police Officer Satellite Town Atta Mohammad Nizamani claimed of nabbing Ghulam Shabbir alias Shabbiro and Mohammad Hassan Rustamani at Jarwari Shakh turning point while they were shifting seven maunds of stolen electricity wires worth lakhs of rupees in a rickshaw from Bilaro Shakh to an unknown place.

Police recovered sharp instruments used in cutting electricity wires and arrested Ghulam Shabbir alias Shabbiro. The stolen wire was sold to Fateh Mohammad Kehri Baloch at Jarwari Shakh who was absconding.

He said two alleged narcotic peddlers Ghulam Mohammad Pathan and Juma Leghari were apprehended from Walkart and 1,030 grams charas was recovered from them.

Four robbers Rashid, Amir, Liaquat Shah and Abdul Jabbar alias Guddu were arrested for possessing two unlicensed pistols, a dagger and an axe. He said they were involved in robbing cell phones, motorcycles and other things.

INJURED DIES: One more injured on Friday night succumbed to injuries on Saturday raising the death toll to 11. The accident took place between a coach and a pickup of wedding party near Khwaja Bus stand on Tando Allahyar Mirpurkhas Road.
