SUKKUR May 3: Naib Ameer Jamaat-i-Islami and former MNA Asadullah Bhutto said that with the announcement of PML (N) leader Nawaz Sharif that deposed judges would be restored through a resolution on May 12, in the National Assembly, political atmosphere was still under the clouds of suspicion.

He was talking to newsmen here on Friday night. The Jamaat-i-Islami has launched a week long campaign for spreading the message Islam.

Maulana Bhutto criticised the JUI’s leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman for causing major damage to MMA through his unilateral decisions including participation in the 18th February elections.

According to him, JI had taken a principle stand and he justified the boycotting of the election under the banner of the APDM.

The Jamaat-i-Islami leader said that on one hand Maulana Fazlur Rehman was hobnobbing with the MQM leaders, while his provincial leader Senator Dr Khalid Mahmood Soomro was speaking loud against the MQM for its policies.

He said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had exposed himself because of his opposition to the restoration of deposed judges especially the reinstatement of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, which he termed as a popular demand of the people.

He said that people are eagerly waiting for the reinstatement of judges as has been promised by PPPP and PML (N) under the Murree Accord.

He urged the media to play its positive role to support Jamaat-i-Islami programme through their pen and publications for elimination of all kinds of exploitation and oppressions.

He said that the time has come that people of Pakistan should decide about their destiny and they should be at liberty to exercise their right to vote to choose their representatives in the parliament.

He was accompanied with Jamaat-i-Islami leaders Nizamuddin Shah, Professor Masood Ali Khan, Ghulam Ghous Ghazi, Hizbullah Jakhro and Aijaz Shaikh.

The Jamaat-i-Islami’s campaign will end on 4th May.

Earlier, Asadullah Bhutto met District Bar Members of Sukkur, Ghotki and Larkana on Thursday and Friday to interact with them on the Jamaat-i-Islami programme.
