LAKKI MARWAT, May 3: The Haqdadabad locality of Lakki city is facing acute shortage of water, residents complained here on Saturday.

They said that the tehsil municipal administration (TMA) had taken no remedy measure so far and people of the urban locality were compelled to purchase buckets of water at high prices.

“The scorching heat and shortage of water have multiplied the miseries of my family particularly women and children as the locality is under the grip of water crisis for the last two weeks,” said Assistant Election Commissioner Ali Akhtar Khan, who is living in a rented-house in the city.

Mr Khan said that he was ceaselessly engaged in making arrangements for the by-elections on PF-75 (Lakki Marwat-II) but the water crisis had made life miserable and they were unable to go on in such a situation.
