LAKKI MARWAT, May 3: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a burglar at an arms dealer’s shop and recovered stolen weapons from him.

DSP (Investigation) Malik Tariq Khan told journalists at his office here that some thieves had stolen nine pistols, three repeater shotguns, one pump action shotgun and two rifles of different bores from the arms shop of Mir Ahmad Khan alias Miro two weeks ago.

“A team of Lakki Bureau of Investigation led by Sub-Inspector Obaidullah Khan launched a thorough investigation into the case after the police registered an FIR on April 15”, he said.

The police detained Imranullah, resident of Mir Hazar Khanzadkhel village, on suspicion of involvement in the burglary. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime and also disclosed the names of his accomplices, the DSP said.
