HYDERABAD, May 2: A man has appealed to the Pakistan People’s Party Co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to help restore his 60 acres of land forcibly taken by a Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Khan Mohammad Dahiri.
Villager Syed Gulab Shah s/o Haji Ghous Ali Shah of Goth Haji Ghous Ali Shah village, Taluka Doulatpur, district Nawabshah while speaking to a press conference at the press club alleged that three years back, Khan Mohammad Dahiri had occupied his 60 acres of land in Katcha Area by force.
He said he approached Rais Hakim Ali Zardari, District Nazim Faryal Talpur, Jam Tamachi Unnar and Mir Ghulam Mustafa Shah for the restoration of land but all went in vain. He regretted that even after the change of government, his land had not been returned. He appealed to the PPP leadership and Sindh Chief Minister to restore justice to him.
Answering a question, he said that 40 acres of land was located in surveyed area while 20 acres in Katcha area.

He regretted that even in the 21st century, Pakistan was included among those countries where education and literacy was on the decline.
Quoting figures from the Unesco report, Bajeer said around 6.463 million children of school going age in Pakistan were denied education. He said literacy rate in India was gradually increasing.
He said not only parents but the government too, was responsible for the prevailing situation.
Others who spoke on the occasion included SPO Director Ghulam Mustafa Baloch, President Sindhiani Tahreek Ms Nazeer Qureshi, Shafique Kandhro and others.
Rising crime: Leaders of Pakistan People’s Party of Sehrish Nagar Unit, Qasimabad have complained of rising theft, robberies and land grabbing in their area with police taking no action against criminals, especially land grabbers because of their influence.
Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Friday, Mohammad Qasim Siyal, Taluka Councilor Shamim Chandio and others said the displaced persons of ethnic riots of late 80s and early 90s had been allotted plots in Sehrish Nagar who were now passing sleepless nights due to increased crimes.
They said the newly appointed DPO, Najaf Mirza and SP Investigation, Ghulam Mustafa Korai at a function held at Yasrab Hall Qasimabad on April 30, were informed about the increase in crimes by the Qasimabad Action Committee.
They said whoever raised his voice against land grabbers was implicated in false cases. They appealed to the authorities to take action against the criminals, especially land grabbers.
Earlier, a large number of people from Sehrish Nagar staged a protest demonstration outside the press club against the alleged land grabbers and criminals.
