Coalition should stay intact: Qazi

Published April 30, 2008

LAHORE, April 29: Jamaat-i-Islami amir Qazi Husain Ahmad says a couple of days’ delay in the reinstatement of judges will not make any difference.

At a meeting here on Tuesday, he said the ruling coalition must decide reinstatement of judges within 15 days and that they should also keep their alliance intact. He feared that otherwise a new alliance under the US patronage would come into being.

He said the party would observe May 12 to commemorate the last year’s Karachi tragedy in which over 50 people were killed. —Staff Reporter
