KARACHI: FCS insurance scheme

KARACHI, April 29: The compensation amount under the Fishermen Cooperative Society (FCS) insurance policy scheme has been raised to Rs300,000.

This was announced by the administrator of the FCS, Tahir Mazhar Dada, while speaking at the launching ceremony of the FCS Employees Cooperative Housing Society here on Tuesday.

Earlier, the compensation amount to be paid to a fisherman’s family in case of his death during fishing was Rs200,000.

The FCS renewed the life insurance policy with Askari General Insurance (AGI) earlier this month after a lapse of two years.—APP
