BAHAWALPUR, April 28: Punjab Special Education Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has said the lands allotted to undeserving people of other areas in Cholistan will be cancelled to accommodate the deserving ones.

Addressing district officers of various government departments at local circuit house here on Monday, the minister asked the officials to mend their attitude towards general public and redress their complaints.

He said under the directive of the chief minister, record of TMAs, revenue and education departments was being sealed for identifying irregularities during the tenure of the past government.

He said after detection of irregularities, the corrupt officials would be held accountable.

Speaking on the occasion, MPA Mumtaz Jajja and DCO Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmed said the government would work for a corruption-free society and adhere to merit policy in departments.
