LAHORE, April 26: The Punjab government on Saturday removed Bank of Punjab president Hamesh Khan.

It also dissolved the BoP's board of directors.

Meanwhile, PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif is learnt to have formed a six-member committee to redress PPP minister's complaints regarding the posting and transfers of officers in Punjab.

He formed the committee after PPP's Senior Minister Raja Riaz met him along with Chief Minister Dost Muhammad Khosa to register his reservations about the postings and transfers.

It was stated that Raja Riaz told Mr Sharif that the police and civil officers were not listening to his party ministers because no-one was taking them into confidence while posting them.

The committee comprised Raja Riaz, the chief minister and two members each from their respective political parties.
