QUETTA, April 25: Three workers of a cement factory were killed and eight others were injured, four of them seriously, when their bus came under fire in the industrial town of Hub on Friday.

According to police sources, the workers and other staff members of the Attock Cement Factory, located some 30 kilometre west of Hub town, were returning to their homes in Karachi.

When the bus was passing through the Post Office Road, armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on it and speed away. Police and other law-enforcement personnel shifted the bodies and the injured to the Hub civil hospital.

Later, the injured were taken to the Liaquat National Hospital in Karachi. Hospital sources said that four of the injured had suffered multiple bullet wounds and their condition was serious.

Police identified the deceased as Murad Ali, Mohammad Arif and Mohammad Rais.
