KARACHI, April 24: The Thailand Exhibition, 2008, will be organised at a local hotel from April 25 to 27.

The event is being organised by the Ministry of Commerce, Thailand, through its Trade Centre, Dhaka.

As many as 33 Thai companies would exhibit their products at the show.

According to the organisers, the exhibition will also prove to be a meeting forum for the local traders and importers as well.

According to Consul General of Thailand in Karachi Joompol Manaschuang the exhibition has now become an annual event.

He said that next year many more companies from Thailand would attend the event.

The consul general stated that in 2007 the trade volume between Thailand and Pakistan was $800 million and that it was in the favour of his country.

He said that it is his desire that the trade volume should be in Pakistan’s favour.

Joompol Manaschuang called for enhancing the trade between the two countries as there exists a lot of potential for the same.

He also asked the businessmen of the two countries to undertake exchange visits, explore the avenues of trade and as well as for the joint ventures.—APP
