BAHAWALPUR, April 21: Officials of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Bahawalpur, have started an inquiry into the complaints of matric papers’ leak.

Though the BISE officials have not so far announced officially, a probe is reportedly under way as public circles are raising questions over the silence of the chairperson and the controller of examinations.

According to sources, a close relative among the staff officers of the BISE chairperson working in the secrecy section and responsible for the printing of question papers, is said to be allegedly involved in this scandal.

He has been accused of selling a question paper for Rs300 through internet in the form of guess papers to his familiar candidates and friends. The ‘main beneficiaries’ have been selling these guess papers to other interested people.

When the question papers of Urdu, chemistry and other subjects were distributed among candidates in the examination centres, they comprised most of the questions included in the guess papers.

Sources claim one of the responsible officials of the secrecy section has been terminated and an inquiry is being conducted to identify other accomplices of the sacked employee.
