LAHORE, April 19: The Punjab government on Saturday transferred and posted 28 top administrative officials who include secretaries, DCOs and DIGs. A majority of the transferred officials belonged to the DMG in BS-21 and 20.

Maj Fayyaz Bashir (retired), the secretary agriculture, DMG BS-21, was transferred and directed to report to the S&GAD. OSDs Syed Muhammad Hamid and Muhammad Ayub Qazi, both DMG BS-21, were posted as Punjab Local Councils Election Authority members after upgrade of the posts from BS-20 to BS-21 as personal to them.

Board of Revenue’s Member (Colonies) Tariq Yousaf, DMG BS-21, was transferred and posted as BoR’s member (consolidation). OSD Asghar Husain Gilani, PSS BS-21, was again posted as Lahore Arts Council (Alhamra) executive director vice Khalid Masood Chaudhry after upgrading the post from BS-20 to BS-21 as personal to him. Mr Chaudhry, DMG BS-20, was directed to report to the S&GAD.

Social Welfare Secretary Shoaib bin Aziz, Information Department BS-21, was transferred and directed to report to the S&GAD. OSD Muhammad Javaid Iqbal Awan, DMG, was promoted to BS-21 and was posted as secretary agriculture after upgrade of the post from BS-20 to BS-21 as personal to him. OSD Mazhar Ali Khan, DMG BS-20, was posted as the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team member.

OSD Dr Nazir Saeed, DMG BS-20, was posted as Board of Revenue’s member (Judicial-V)/Chief Settlement Commissioner after downgrading the post from BS-21 to BS-20 as personal to him.

Secretary Livestock Babar Yaqoob Fateh Muhammad, DMG BS-20, was transferred and posted as secretary/director general Public Policy and Change Management Wing of the S&GAD vice Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmad.

OSD Hassan Nawaz Tarar, DMG BS-20, was posted as excise and taxation secretary, relieving Information Technology Department Secretary Shamail Ahmad of the additional charge.

OSD Aftab Habib, DMG BS-20, was posted as CMIT member. Health Department Special Secretary Jehanzeb Khan (a retired captain), DMG BS-20, was transferred and posted as CMIT member.

Punjab Labour Welfare director Muhammad Aslam Hayat, DMG BS-20, was posted as secretary livestock. Finance Department’s Special Secretary Najam Saeed, DMG BS-20, was transferred and posted as BoR member (colonies) after downgrading the post from BS-21 to BS-20 as personal to him.

Maj Rizwanullah Beg (retired), the social welfare director-general, DMG BS-20, was transferred and directed to report to the S&GAD. King Edward Medical University Registrar Shaqatur Rehman Ranjha, DMG BS-19, was promoted to BS-20 and transferred and posted as health department special secretary vice Mr Jehanzeb Khan.

OSD Abdul Rauf, PSS BS-20, was posted as population welfare director general, relieving Population Welfare Secretary Yousaf Naseem Khokhar of the additional charge. While OSD Mahboob Alam Rana, PSS BS-20, was posted as CMIT member.

Bahawalnagar DCO Tarik Feroze, DMG BS-19, was transferred and posted as social welfare director general vice Mr Rizwan Beg. He will also hold the additional charge of the post of the social welfare secretary.

Bahawalpur DCO Muhammad Ashraf, DMG BS-19, was transferred and directed to report to the S&GAD. He was also relieved of the additional charge of the post of Bahawalpur EDO (finance and planning). He was replaced by Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmad, DMG BS-19, transferred from the post of secretary Public Policy and Change Management.

Home Department Additional Secretary (Prisons) Muhammad Hassan Iqbal, DMG BS-19, was transferred and posted as Bahawalnagar DCO vice Tarik Feroze. Gujranwala RPO Syed Tehsin Anwar Ali Shah and CPO Khadim Husain Bhatti were transferred and directed to report to the S&GAD. OSD DIG Zulfikar Cheema was posted as Gujranwala RPO with additional charge of the post of Gujranwala CPO.

Capt Naseem Nawaz (retired), programme director Agriculture Sector Programme was transferred and posted as Jhelum DCO.
