MIRPURKHAS, April 18: A two-year-old child was killed and a woman was injured when a bus fell into LBOD drain near Turk Ali Mari village on Mirpurkhas-Tando Adam road on Friday.

Report said that Ghulam Fareed, 2, died on the spot and a woman suffered injuries when the bus driver failed to control the vehicle after its tyre burst. The injured Naseeba was moved to Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital.

Police and villagers were busy rescuing the rest of passengers from the drain till the filing of this report.

SUICIDE: The body of a woman identified as Ms Hajira, daughter of Mohammad Rahim Khaskheli, was brought to Mirpurkhas Civil Hospital from Degan and the relatives claimed she had committed suicide.

The woman’s brother Aziz Khaskheli said that Hajira committed suicide by shooting herself when the family members were out of the house. He did not give any reason behind the suicide.

When contacted Civil Surgeon Dr Roshan Ali Bhatti said that he had informed the Kot Ghulam Mohammad and town police about the woman’s body and he could not stop relatives from taking away the body without post mortem.
