DADU: Doctors seek job letters

DADU, April 18: A large number of commission pass doctors staged a demonstration outside the press club here on Friday against non-issuance of their offer letters.

Dr Amjad Mastoi, Dr Adnan Memon and Asif Memon led the protesting doctors.

They raised slogans against the government for neglecting the commission pass doctors since years.

Dr Amjad said that hundreds of doctors had passed commission but the government did not provide them jobs.

He threatened to go on hunger strike at the grave of Benazir Bhutto if the commission pass 1548 doctors were not issued offer letter.

TEACHERS’ BOYCOTT: High schoolteachers boycotted the examinations of ninth and tenth classes being held under the Board of Intermediate Hyderabad here on Friday to protest against injuring a teacher, Saleem Anwar, at Pilot High School in Dadu when he stopped some students from cheating during the exam.

Teachers after boycotting the exam staged a protest demanding arrest of those students who had attacked the teacher.

Later, teachers ended their protest when police assure them of arrest of attackers.

LOADSHEDDING: Unscheduled loadshedding affected the business and routine life in Dadu and its surrounding areas on Friday.

Water supply to various parts of the town remained suspended and people faced many difficulties. People and social workers staged a protest against eight-hour-long loadshedding.
