Tendulkar pulls out of torch relay

NEW DELHI, April 16: Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has pulled out of Thursday’s Olympic torch relay in the capital for personal reasons, the head of the Indian Olympic Association told local television on Wednesday.

The decision had nothing to do with ongoing worldwide Tibetan anti-Chinese protests, another sports official, who asked not to be named, told Reuters.
