ISLAMABAD, April 13: Pakistan clean-swept Malaysia 3-0 to win the Asia-Oceania Zone Group-III tournament at the Inqeelab Sports Stadium, Tehran, on Sunday.

Pakistan and Malaysia both qualified for next year’s Group-II of the Asia-Oceania Zone Davis Cup.

In the final tie of Group-III against Malaysia, Aqeel Khan beat Adam Jaya 7-6(5), 6-0 while Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi downed Razlan Ravi 6-4, 6-0 in the two singles matches.

In the doubles match of the tie, the Pakistan pair of Asim Shafik and Jibran Mohammadi eliminated Razlan Ravi and Yew Ming 7-6(3), 6-3.—APP
