By-election in Thull

JACOBABAD, April 12: The by-election on PS-15 Thull-Jacobabad seat was held here in a peaceful manner on Saturday.

According to unofficial result PPP candidate Mir Hassan Khan Khoso got 5845 votes while his rival PML-Q candidate Dr Sohrab Sarki bagged 455 votes.

The turnout was 15 per cent.

Twenty-seven polling stations were set up. No untoward incident took place. Police and Rangers were deployed on the polling stations.

STRIKE: A complete shutterdown strike was observed in Kandhkot on Saturday on the call of All Parties Conference against the kidnapping of two girls two weeks ago.—BoC
