HYDERABAD, April 10: A group of liberated peasants, including women and children protested outside the press club on Thursday against what they alleged immoral business being run at the Sinkandarabad Hari camp near Kotri by some outsiders. They are residents of the same camp.

Amolakh Oad, Jami Kolhi, Ms Haliman and others alleged some outsiders of forcibly entering the Hari camp and running immoral activities plus other crimes.

They said the liberated Haris belonging to Bheel, Kolhi and Oad communities were being implicated in false cases.

They appealed to District Nazim, Malik Asad Sikandar, MNA Nawab Abdul Ghani Talpur, and MPAs Dr Sikandar Shoro and Dr Daya Ram to take notice of it and remove such people from the camp.

WORKSHOP: A two-day training workshop on journalistic language and techniques organized by the Sindhi Language Authority concluded here on Thursday.

Renowned writer and poet, Taj Joyo, senior journalists Sohail Sangi, Naz Sehto and Khalid Azad delivered lectures on journalistic techniques and language used by media with particular reference to print. Over 50 sub-editors, reporters and proof-readers of local newspapers participated in the workshop.

Speaking at the concluding session, Chairman, Sindhi Language Authority, Abdul Qadir Junejo said today media was stronger and influencing culture and language.
