HYDERABAD, April 9: The activists of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz continued protest demonstrations and token hunger strike in different parts of Sindh for third consecutive day on Wednesday.

They were protesting the incarceration of Dr Safdar Sarki, Akhtar Mengal and other Sindhi and Baloch nationalist leaders outside the local press club.

Masroor Thebo, Mushtaq Umrani, Rehman Pirzado and others demanded of the newly elected Balochistan government to order the release of Dr Sarki and honour the promise they made with the JSQM Chairman Basheer Khan Qureshi.

In Khairpur, JSQM and Jeay Sindh Students Federation activists continued their token hunger strike on Court Road.

They were led by acting chairman of the JSQM, Mohammad Rahimoon, and president of the JSSF, Nisar Lakhair.

A delegation of lawyers visited hunger strike camp and expressed solidarity with the JSQM activists.

In Naushahro Feroze district, JSQM activists took out rallies and staged demonstrations in Moro, Tharushah and Mehrabpur towns.
