KARACHI: Mansoor Aye hospitalised

Published April 10, 2008

KARACHI, April 9: The noted Karachi-based artist Mansoor Aye (not to be confused with Mansoor Rahi) has been admitted to a private hospital for dialysis because his kidneys have failed to function. He has other serious health problems as well.

The 67-year-old self-taught artist is known for his moon-faced girl, which became his trademark since the 1960s. He has drawn inspiration from Urdu poetry and the moon-faced girl has not jilted him, nor has he forgotten her.
