KARACHI, April 8: A three-member Kazakhstan squad arrived here on Tuesday to take part in the inaugural Chief of Air Staff International sailing regatta to be held at the PAF Yacht Club from April 10.

The squad includes two sailors — Denis Passyanov (Laser Standard) and Rulson Jangzov (Laser Radial) — while Kulivastsky Oleg is the manager of the team.

The team from UK has also arrived in the city while the team from UAE was expected on Tuesday night. Sri Lanka and Egypt are arriving on Wednesday.

Competitions will be held in U-15 Optimists boys, U-15 Optimists girls, Youth U-17 category, Laser 4.7 for both men and women, Laser Radial for both men and women, Laser Standard (men) and Mistral.

The practice races for the championship will open at the venue on Wednesday.
