KARACHI, April 8: Three ships carrying containers and furnace oil were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, two more vessels to load rice and cement also arrived at the outer anchorage. Eight ships, Maersk Corolina, Nedlloyd Oceania, Ataqa, Chemstar King, Ocean Morning, Skua, Grigoroussa and Lady Giovi, were busy in loading/offloading containers, cement, palm oil, wheat, furnace oil and coal.

A cargo volume of 122,000 tons comprising 91,000 tons of import and 30,000 tons of export was handled. Three ships sailed out.
