Zeeshan spins KG to big win

KARACHI, April 7: Off-spinner Zeeshan Essa captured five wickets to spin Karachi Gymkhana to a massive 191-run victory over Keameri Eaglets in Wallis Mathias Memorial cricket tournament at the Karachi Gymkhana Ground on Sunday.

Zeeshan finished with excellent figures of five for 25 in 5.2 overs while leg-spinner Imran Afzal grabbed three wickets for 22 to dismiss Keameri Eaglets for 121 in 18.2 overs. Mohammad Khan (37) top-scored for the losers.

Earlier, Karachi Gymkhana, batting first, amassed 312 for three in the allotted 40 overs. Farhan Arif smashed 94 in 91 balls with eight fours and a six and Azhar Khan banged 11 boundaries in his 54-ball 82 while Umair Shaikh hit four fours and two sixes in his unbeaten 58.
