LANDI KOTAL, April 7: The building of the Government Girls Degree College in Jamrud was blown up on late Sunday night.

According to an official of the Khyber Agency political administration, Khalid Mumtaz Kundi, four blasts hit the building at around 2:30am damaging its boundary wall, a classroom and windowpanes of several other rooms.The college is closed for spring holidays.

Mr Kundi said a tribal feud might be behind the blasts.

He said the administration had registered a case, adding that some local tribesmen might be detained under the Collective Territorial Responsibility clause of the Frontier Crimes Regulation.

Local people said the college building had been hit by a rocket.
