SHIKARPUR, April 5: A group of Jatoi tribesmen boarded a train and killed three men belonging to their rival Mahar tribe and seriously injured a woman after forcing the train to stop near a railway crossing in Lakhi Ghulam Shah by waving a red flag on Saturday.

Reports said that a group of 20 armed Jatoi tribesmen stopped Budhal Express coming from Rohri by waving a red flag in front of the train near the railway crossing. They boarded the train, searched out Ibrahim Mahar, Moula Bux Mahar, Barkat Mahar and killed all the three on the spot. They also fired on Ms Manzooran and left her seriously injured.

The bodies were moved to hospitals in Shikarpur and Lakhi while the injured woman was admitted to a hospital in Lakhi.

The attackers escaped after committing the crime while firing in the air.
