KHAIRPUR, April 4: Federal Law Minister Farooq H. Naek has said that deposed judges will be reinstated ‘within 30 days’ in accordance with the Murree Declaration.

Talking to journalists at a reception hosted here on Friday by MNA Nafisa Shah, Mr Naek said a committee had been formed in consultation with coalition parties and the people would soon hear ‘good news’ about reinstatement of the judges.

He said the government would take measures for provincial autonomy and solving the problems of the country.

He said PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari’s visit to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement headquarters would yield positive results. He said there should be no conflict among political parties and maintaining a peaceful atmosphere was the need of the hour.

In reply to a question, he said forgiving and forgetting the past injustices was a good act.

Earlier, addressing members of the Khairpur District Bar Association, the minister said a proposal to establish evening courts was under consideration so that the backlog of cases could be reduced.

He said legal aid offices would be set up by the government to provide free service to the needy people in civil cases.
