LAHORE, April 4: Ashfaq Gondal, the Punjab information secretary, on Friday relinquished the charge of his office after he was transferred and made officer on special duty (OSD), reports a news website.

Similarly, Multan District Coordination Officer (DCO) Sattar Sheikh was also transferred and made OSD while Nankana DCO Fazeel Asghar was transferred and posted as Multan DCO.

Taimoor Azmat Osman, secretary to the Punjab government, Tourism and Resort Development Department, was also transferred and directed to report to the S&GAD for further orders.

Meanwhile, the services of following officials have been placed at the disposal of Punjab Food Secretary in an apparent move to check wheat/flour hoarding and smuggling.

They are TDCP’s Lahore managing director Irfan Ali, Muhammad Ahsan Waheed, Chakwal PRSP district supports manager, Asim Sadiq Qureshi, Jand DDO (Revenue), Muhammad Zafar Iqbal Shakir, Punjab ACE assistant director, Lahore, Ishratullah Khan Niazi, Kamoki DDO (Revenue), Muhammad Tauqir Qureshi, Minchinabad DDO (Revenue), Tajamul Abbas Rana, BoR assistant director (Land Records), Lahore, Naveed Kashif, LDA deputy director, Qadeer Ahmed Bajwa, instructor (Revenue), Management & Professional Development Department.
