New PTCL packages

ISLAMABAD, March 31: The Pakistan Tele Communication Limited (PTCL) will launch three new packages on Tuesday.

These are: Pakistan Plus, Basic Plus and Value Plus. Each package caters to a different section of society.

Giving details of the new initiatives on Monday, PTCL senior executive vice-president Dr Sadik Al-Jadir said that for the first time in Pakistan, subscribers would have a choice to pick a package that was right for them, he added.

In response to a question about deterioration in service delivery, the PTCL official said efforts were being made to improve service delivery.

Pakistan Plus offers 2,500 minutes of nation-wide call for a fixed charge of Rs199. All current subscribers of the Pakistan Package will be shifted to Pakistan Plus from Tuesday.

Value Plus offers 1,200 internet minutes in addition to 25 nation-wide calling minutes per month. It will cost Rs75. This package particularly keeps in view the needs of internet savvy user. Customers can contact helpline 12401240 to select this package.

Basic Plus is designed to meet the needs of the low-usage segment and includes basic services along with voicemail and call waiting, which are also included in the other two packages. The customers who are not currently subscribing to the Pakistan Package will automatically be shifted to the Basic Plus from Tuesday.
