DADU, March 30: Jhallo police arrested Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Syed Fida Hussain Shah and claimed to have found 11kv wires worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, stationery items and air conditioners looted from court buildings during the post-Dec 27 violence, after a raid on his guesthouse here on Sunday.

The SHO of Jhallo police station Nisar Ahmed Birhamani said that police arrested Fida Hussain Shah after an FIR was lodged against him on a complaint lodged by Sikandar Magsi.

Mr Fida had reportedly denied the charge and termed the arrest an act of political victimisation.

The SHO said that the raiding party also found stationery items stolen from government offices and some articles of private people in the mud-thatched guesthouse of PML-Q leader in his lands in Dadu taluka.
