Rasel recalled for Pakistan series

DHAKA, March 25: Bangladesh on Tuesday recalled left-arm medium-pacer Syed Rasel for the upcoming five match one-day series and Twenty20 clash against Pakistan.

The selectors have added the left armer to the team that whitewashed Ireland 3-0 this month as conditions in Pakistan demand at least three pacemen in the squad, Bangladesh Cricket Board spokesman Rabeed Imam said.

Pakistan on Monday announced the itinerary for the tour, arranged after Australia cancelled their series over security fears.

Squad: Mohammad Ashraful (captain), Mashrafe Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, Junaid Siddique, Aftab Ahmed, Nazimuddin, Shahriar Nafees, Saqibul Hasan, Dhiman Ghosh, Abdur Razzak, Mahmudullah, Shahadat Hossain, Syed Rasel, Farhad Reza, Raqibul Hassan.—AFP
