Farhan, Rauf stand out

KARACHI, March 25: In their last group match Medicam Group recorded a five-wicket win against Pakistan Steel Mill to reach the final round of 16th Hinopak KCCA Interdepartmental league at the Pakistan Steel Mills ground here on Sunday.

Batting first, Pakistan Steel Mills posted 161 all out in 45 overs with Hammad Khan (41) being the highest scorer. Farhan captured four wickets.

Medicam Group, in reply, achieved the target in 32.3 overs losing five wickets with Abdul Rauf and Shahid Latif scoring 59 and 50 respectively.

In another match of the tournament, Income Tax overpowered Hinopak Motors by six wickets at the KCCA Stadium.

Batting first, Hinopak Motors made 236 before they were bowled out in 43.3 overs. Saqib top scored with 110.

In response, Income Tax reached the target in 41 overs for the loss of four wickets. Haseeb (58) was the chief scorer.—Agencies
